Stett Matthew Jacoby
The son of a single mother, Stett Matthew Jacoby is proud to have roots that extend from San Antonio to the Hill Country. He grew up ranching and farming with his uncles in the Stonewall area, learning first-hand the value of a hard day’s work. Meanwhile, at home in SA, he excelled academically. He earned his undergraduate degree from Stanford University in 1996, garnering the Senior Award for Academic Excellence from El Centro Chicano de Stanford. In 2003, he graduated magna cum laude from Washington and Lee University School of Law and obtained the Order of the Coif.
Stett provides affordable estate planning, elder law, probate, and disability planning services to people living in Central and South Texas. He represents executors and administrators in independent and dependent administrations, and he assists family members with affidavits of heirship, small estate affidavits, and other alternatives to administration. Stett also has extensive experience in business litigation and private child support enforcement.
In addition to his legal career, service to community is an essential part of Stett’s life. He currently facilitates a support group for people living with dementia organized through the Alzheimer’s Association and he regularly makes presentations to the public on topics pertaining to estate planning and probate. Prior to becoming a lawyer, he worked with hundreds of at-risk youth and their families at non-profits in both San Antonio and San Francisco. The City and County of San Francisco awarded Stett the Certificate of Honor for his work in AmeriCorps.
Stett most enjoys spending time with his family. When not working, Stett may often be found fishing and relaxing on the Pedernales with his mother, his wife, his kids, and his many uncles and cousins.
